Lyndi became a Certified Yoga Teacher in 2007 in a program based on the classical linage of Krishnamacharya and is a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Her main and most influential teacher is Maria Mendola of Functional Yoga Therapy. Her teaching and yoga therapy have been deeply influenced by the work of Amy Weintraub and Lyndi is a LifeForce Yoga® Level 1 Practitioner. She is also deeply inspired by Joseph and Lillian LePage and is currently working towards her 1000 hour certification in Integrative Yoga Therapy. She has studied with Sara Avant Stover and is a certified The Way of Happy Woman® retreat leader
Lyndi came to yoga as a way to embrace her body and manage depression. She continued her yoga practice to help her find balance in the midst of her career as a social worker in child welfare and behavioral health.
In the course of her yoga journey and during a time of intense pelvic pain, Lyndi was introduced to the work of Leslie Howard. This work propelled her down a path of healing herself on a deeper level and the desire to work with other women who have pelvic floor issues. This has lead to the creation of workshops and therapeutic series focusing on the Pelvic Floor. These offerings focuses on creating a loving relationship with the pelvis while also brining in more awareness to the pelvic floor and how to both stretch and strengthen these core muscles. Lyndi has also provided training on the pelvic floor to Yoga Therapist as a part of Maria KaliMa’s Functional Yoga Therapy training.
Lyndi currently offers yoga classes, yoga parties, private yoga therapy sessions, yoga playshops and retreats in Tucson. Her yoga teaching style is eclectic with a therapeutic flavor. She leads her students in a way that allows them to love themselves exactly where they are on their path while being fully present in their body. She knows a yoga practice can be deep, fun, gentle, challenging, and joyful all at the same time. She believe deeply in the magic of affirmations, glitter, essential oils, love, and laughter.
