Openness to Transformation
This mudra allows one to cultivate a space of openness to allow ourselves to view ourselves and our lives with greater objectivity and clarity. It supports creating mental space so that one can witness and transform limiting beleifs.
Directs breath and awareness into the neck and throat, supporting the health of the thyroid gland. Releases tension from the shoulders, neck, and head.
To Practice this Mudra
Bend the middle fingers down to touch the mounds at the base of the thumbs.
Use the thumbs to hold the middle fingers in place.
Rest the backs of the hands onto the thigh.
Relax the shoulders back and down, with the elbows held slightly away from the body and the spine naturally aligned.;
Take several natural breaths to attune to all the feelings and sensations evoked by this mudra.
Hold for 1 to 5 minutes, release when you sense your openness to transformation.
