Wellness Wednesday update

I am so grateful for all the individuals who responded to my survey about my Wellness Wednesday classes. Based on the responses I received, reviewing class attendance, and listening to my own inner wisdom, I am making a few changes to these classes beginning in 2018. 

The one of the biggest changes is shifting offering classes on Wednesday night to Tuesday night. This was a challenging change to make since there were a number of individuals who stated this night would not work for them. However this change allows me to have one day off a week from both working at Miraval and Tucson teaching/yoga therapy. Taking a day off for rest and self care is important for my own physical and emotional health. 

The time and length of the class will remain the same ~  6:00-7:30pm

Cost of the drop in classes and class passes will remain the same. All class passes purchased in 2017 will be honored in 2018. 

The class schedule is changing. I decided to simplify and focus my energy on the two most popularly attended classes and the classes I noticed I loved teaching the most. ~ From Stressed to Refreshed (Restorative Yoga) and Peaceful Pelvis.  The schedule will be:

1st Tuesdays - Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra 

This would include a short journalling activity, 2-3 restorative poses and a 25min yoga nidra. 

2nd Tuesdays - Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra 

This will include 4-5 restorative poses and a 15 min yoga nidra or mudra meditation 

3rd Tuesdays - Peaceful Pelvis 

This will focus more on awareness, stretching, and relaxing the pelvic floor muscles. This class will focus on hypertonic pelvic floor concerns.

4th Tuesdays- Peaceful (Powerful) Pelvis 

This class will include awareness, stretching, stabilization, and strengthening of the pelvic floor,  and muscles around the pelvis. This class would be appropriate for people ready to add strengthening exercises, hypotonic floor concerns, or pelvic bowl instability. 

Occasional 5th Tuesdays - I will either not have a class or it will be a donation class for Aviva or some other charity. Class theme to be determined each time.
