Gesture of Light
Cultivating Devotional Love

This mudra directs breath and awareness the heart center. It cultivates feelings of love, compassion, optimism, and well being. It supports a connection with the Divine. 

Tejas mudra supports the health of the immune system, enhances the circulation to the upper chest stimulating heart rate and blood pressure. 

As you hold this mudra you visualize a light within you. Allow this light to slowly illuminate your whole being. As you feel this radiant light to fill you, sense your heart opening and love expanding throughout your body and out into the world. 

To Practice this Mudra:
Hold the hands in prayer position in front of the heart.

Bend the index fingers, forming a halo around the thumbs.

Keep the thumbs joined along their length while spreading the other fingers wide apart.

Relax the shoulders back and down, with the elbows held slightly away from the body and the spine naturally aligned. 

Take several natural breaths to attune to all the feelings and sensations evoked by this mudra.

Hold for 1 to 5 minutes, release when you feel love flowing though your being.
